Here are seven of the best models you can buy in 2021.

To observe how the Ninja Foodi Digital Air Fry Oven and Immediate Omni Plus Multifunction Toaster Oven compared to all the other versions we analyzed, we took them through a set of identical evaluations: Chunk Roasting bread, grilled asparagus, air frying, frozen fries, which makes homemade fries, and leaves a whole grain.
We have looked at the results and improved the graph as well. Curious about the different sizes and styles of toaster ovens? We have also tested and recommended traditional toaster ovens, the Breville Smart Oven Guru, as well as the Breville Mini Smart Oven.

If you are looking for a toaster oven that can do much more than just cook bread to perfection, you should check out the Breville Smart Oven Pro. This top-of-the-line offering uses “Element IQ” cooking technology to automatically adjust its heating method, which allows you to properly cook everything from pizza to cookies. The Breville Smart Oven is one of the bigger offerings on this list, too, with enough interior cooking space to toast six slices of bread or a 13-inch pizza. This impressive oven also has a convection feature that can speed up the cooking process by up to 30 percent.
The Pro sets itself apart from the competition with advanced features like its slow cook function, which allows you to set the appliance to cook for 10 hours at low temperatures. Sadly, such features don’t come cheap. While the myriad of convenient features – including a nonstick coating and an automatic eject rack – help justify the cost, you’ll definitely want to get the most out of its cooking, roasting, and baking capabilities.
2. Hamilton Beach Countertop Toaster Oven Convection
This Hamilton Beach offering brings convection cooking to your kitchen at a reasonable price. This toaster oven can bake, broil and toast, and with a built-in convection fan, you can be sure your meals will cook evenly. You can also cook up to six slices of bread or a 12-inch pizza at the same time on the adjustable rack.
Unlike most toaster ovens, Easy Reach features a roll-up door that lifts up and out of the way. This allows you easy access to your food and makes it impossible for it to spill out the door. You’ll also get a full-width crumb tray, making it easy to clean. There is no digital display on this toaster oven, but the analog controls are simple and adequate. Not bad for one of the less expensive options on this list.
3. Cuisinart Convection Steam Oven Stainless Steel
The Cuisinart Convection Steam Oven is equipped with almost every cooking feature you could want, and some you might not, in a toaster oven. In addition to toasting, baking, broiling, and convection heating, the toaster oven harnesses the power of steam. The 47-ounce tank provides up to two hours of steam cooking, allowing you to prepare incredibly healthy and moist meals. It’s a function that costs thousands in a full-size oven, so it’s a great way to experiment with a chef-approved technique.
You may not be able to fit a Thanksgiving turkey in there, but the oven is big enough for a 4.5 pound chicken. The Cuisinart Convection Steam Oven is perfect for adventurous cooks who want to try different styles of cooking, although it can be a bit pricey for someone who just wants to toast bread.
4. BLACK+DECKER 4-Slice Toaster Oven with Natural Convection
If all you want to do is make something to spread your jam in the morning, look no further than the Black + Decker 4-Slice Toaster Oven. This machine may not have convection heating or a steam function, but it easily does what it was designed to do. This toaster is on the smaller side of the spectrum, measuring only 15.5 inches wide, but it can still comfortably cook a 9-inch pizza or four slices of bread inside its 10.75-by-9-by-7-inch interior.
The Black + Decker 4-Slice Toaster also has “Even Toast Technology” which, as you may have guessed, cooks your toasts evenly. A 30-minute timer and crumb tray round out the features of this inexpensive buy, giving you more than enough time to make a few bagel bites.
5. Oster Toaster Oven Digital Convection Oven
Oster’s Convection Toaster Oven offers many of the features found in high-end models, but at a slightly more reasonable cost. The toaster benefits from a large interior that is capable of toasting up to six slices of bread at a time, a convection mode for faster cooking, an interior light, and digital controls.
The toaster can also fluctuate between 150 and 450 degrees Fahrenheit and can cook for up to 90 minutes at a time. It even comes with an adjustable spit, giving you the ability to delicately melt cheesy desserts or breads. A higher broil temperature works for meats that can fit in your 13.7 by 13.48 by 5.31-inch inner chamber.
6. Cuisinart TOA-65 Digital Convection Toaster Oven Air fryer
Air frying is one of the best ways to cook, without exception. It removes all the fat from the oils we are used to bathing our favorite foods in, and it can produce a fully cooked meal in less time than a standard oven or deep fryer. The Cuisinart Digital Air Fryer features 1800 watts of power, a 0.6 cu. Ft. Interior, and a variety of different cooking functions, with presets like Dual Cook and a low-temperature setting for slow cooker and braise.

7. Breville BOV450XL Mini Smart Oven Countertop Oven
The Breville Mini Smart Oven is nearly half the price of Breville’s top-of-the-line offering, the Breville Smart Oven Pro, but it still features Element IQ technology, multiple preset functions, a non-stick interior, and a digital display. Its 0.45 cu. Ft. Cook space can’t hold a Dutch oven like its big brother, but it’s big enough for an 11-inch pizza. 8. Panasonic FlashXpress Compact Toaster Oven with Double Infrared Heating
This neat little toaster oven uses 1,300 watts of power and a dual infrared heater setting to cook food as quickly as possible while keeping heat applied evenly. With a 9-inch baking sheet and a timer that maxes out at 25 minutes, this model is definitely meant for smaller toaster projects, but it’s very, very good for them. Panasonic claims the heating system can cook up to 40% faster than conventional toaster ovens, and there are six preset cooking modes to help with toast, waffles, muffins, pizza, fries, and reheating.
How We Analyzed
Best Air fryers claim to create fried foods with very little oil. While the bait of eating healthy French fries or making fried chicken without heating a pot of oil is more appealing, we all know from extensive testing (such as Air Fryer Perfection ) what air fried foods have. more often the taste of fried in the oven than fried. fried. Still, we really like air fryers: they cook food faster than a toaster, they don’t need to be preheated, they won’t heat up your kitchen on a hot afternoon, and they create very good dishes.
Since air fryers are essentially miniature convection ovens, it’s no surprise that many manufacturers offer additional frying functions to toaster ovens to create a hybrid that can broil, bake, broil, and deep fry. look like many different foods. We wanted to observe the comparison of the food cooked in these air fryer toaster ovens using all the food cooked in our favorite air fryer, the Philips TurboStar Air fryer, Avance Digital, as well as our toaster oven, the Breville most. Smart Oven. Can an air fryer toaster oven combine the functions of these two convenient appliances? We bought seven versions, priced from around under $100 to around under $400, and used them to toast pieces of bread, make simple grilled asparagus and weekly roast chicken, open air frozen fries, and also create homemade fries and air fried poultry parmesan Air Fryer Perfection .
Evaluating Controls On Air Fryer Toaster Ovens
Many air fryer toaster ovens look fairly equal to regular toaster ovens; they also feature adjustable oven racks and knobs for programming settings, temperature degrees and cooking occasions. The controllers on a few of the models we tested were labeled: The markings on a number of the time buttons of the versions were divided into 10 minute increments, while the temperature buttons on other versions were divided in 50 degree increments. These analog controllers worked just like traditional kitchen timers, and we didn’t like it because they provided less precision.
We favored ovens that used electronic control screens that clearly showed the exact settings we wanted. We also appreciated thoughtful extras that made cooking safer, easier and more precise. 1 oven we analyzed stopped cooking time and its own rack slipped halfway once we opened the oven door so we didn’t need to dive deep into a hot oven.
Toasting, broiling and roasting in frying toaster ovens
To examine the toasting capabilities of our queues, we only made pieces of soft, light, and dark toast in each version, in addition to a full oven racks value of moderate toast (four eight pieces depending on the size of the toaster) to assess how well its components heated. Of the versions created just really soft toast even in the darkest atmosphere, while others produce good soft and light toast, but incinerate the pieces of bread on the dark atmosphere. The best models had toast settings that were precise, a soft setting that generated a light toast, a moderate setting that generated a medium toast, as well as a dark atmosphere that produced a dark (but not burnt) toast. .
To assess the effectiveness of air-fryer toaster toaster ovens, we cooked half a batch of single grilled asparagus in each version. we roasted the spears in 1 version for over 20 minutes with no evidence of browning.
When we created the Weekly Roast Chicken in each version, a single oven cooked the chicken to the perfect temperature during the recipes with a cooking time of 50 to 70 minutes. Most ovens generated light and insufficient cows, and we found ourselves extending the cooking time by over 20 minutes to make sure the cows were well done.
Usability issues
Our favorite air fryer offers an enclosed cooking zone featuring a cooking basket with an easy-to-wash non-stick coating. The air fryer baskets that came with all of the air fryer toaster ovens we analyzed, however, were not made of non-invasive materials. For this reason, we have come across collages (which we will talk about later). Another difference we noticed: As air fryer toaster ovens are much larger than regular air fryers, they often need preheating and food cooked a bit slower than our air fryer. favorite.
Despite some minor difficulties in use, all but two of these air fryer toaster ovens produced acceptable air fried foods. Since more airflow results in crispier foods, we originally thought that the surface regions of the air fry baskets included with each version would play a role in how they crisped them. food. But it was not true. The basket that came with our favorite version had the largest area of about 172.5 square feet, while the basket in another version gave us 117 square inches of distance. Both ovens generated chicken and parmesan fries that were crispy, fully cooked, and look a lot like the same foods ready in our favorite air fryer.
The inability or ability of the versions to perform conventional toaster-oven tasks also did not predict the success of air frying; some versions that did not broil, broil or roast well had the ability. to air fry perfectly, probably due to the ability of lovers. Our favorite air fryer-toaster oven, in particular, had a buff that worked in two rates: the reduced for jobs like broiling and normal convection baking, while the higher rate was needed for deep frying. the air. So ovens that can grill but not air fry might have had an enthusiast that was not operating at a sufficiently high rate.
Conversely, ovens that could air fry well but not do conventional toaster oven jobs, might have had an enthusiast operating at too high a speed reduction for jobs like broiling and normal convection baking, while the higher rate was required for air frying. How easy were they to clean?
Clean-up was easy when we only created toast and grilled asparagus, but it was more difficult when we left the roast chicken. Since air fryer toaster ovens are relatively small, chicken fat splashed onto the door, walls, and heating elements. When we created Chicken Parmesan with Air Fryer Perfection, another question arose: The mozzarella cheese that covered the chicken was clinging to the baskets of the air fryer was also difficult to wash.
A number of these air fryer baskets had toes, which allowed us to lay them on the machine’s baking sheet and allow hot air to circulate under the food as it was cooked. This slice ensured that any leakage was captured by the baking sheet. The baskets of almost all versions did not have toes, however, and cheese ran them over the heated components. Our winner’s basket was not non-invasive which made this version much harder to wash than our favorite air fryer.
Ideal For You Air Fryer Or Air Fryer Toaster Oven?
If you have limited counter space but are interested in an air fryer pan, we think an air fryer toaster oven is a fantastic alternative. Our favorite version offers a lot of their best of both worlds. And while our high air fryer is best suited for creating one or two servings of food, air fryer toaster ovens, using their larger air fryer baskets, can handle recipes with yields. more important.
But if you frequently cook for just a few people, have storage for plenty of appliances and a toaster oven you love, we still recommend our favorite air fryer, the Philips TurboStar Airfryer, Avance Digital, and also our semi automatic air fryer. Although our high air fryer toaster oven needs it to preheat it until it is hot. Air fried, these two air fryers require no preheating, so you can save some precious moments on busy weeknights. The heating elements of the dedicated air fryers are included, as well as the baskets have heat-resistant handles, which also makes them simpler and less intimidating for children to work with than air fryer toaster ovens. In addition, air fryers, using their non-invasive baskets, are easier to wash.
