The length of the cable will be sufficient regardless of the location of the console. Regarding the sound, the quality remains good considering the price. It’s not 7.1, but it’s quite clear and audible! The microphone is also clear and without crackling. If you have a limited budget, go for this model.

4. NUBWO Gaming headsets PS5 N7 Stereo Xbox

NUBWO Gaming headsets PS5 N7 Stereo Xbox

Nubwo is a safe bet for gaming PC or console headsets. Despite a slightly short cable, the N7 manages to get out of the way.

For the design, the manufacturer has made a strong point with quality coatings and a robustness easy to perceive. The headband is adjustable, allowing the whole family to use the helmet. In addition, the finishes shine par excellence, having nothing to envy to helmets sold 2 or 3 times more expensive.

Sound level, the isolation of external noise deserves to be mentioned. It is so well made that it greatly contributes to the immersion in the game. The headset is also equipped with a 4-point stereo jack and microphone compatible with modern console game controllers. In addition, a 4-pin female jack adapter is provided. The microphone has an On / Off switch and you can directly control the volume on one of the earbuds.

5. KLIM Puma USB Gamer Headset

KLIM Puma - USB Gamer Headset

The PS5 headset that provides the best effects. Want to feel the effects of the game for more realism? You need the KLIM Puma.

Still in the KLIM family, here is the Puma model. Another bestseller of the brand, this gaming headset is excellent for console games, especially for the PS5.

With 7.1 surround sound, the sound reproduction is so faithful that you can see which direction your enemies are coming from and where the shots are coming from! And for an even more intense experience, the ear cups vibrate according to the intensity of the action on the screen

You can turn off this effect if it bothers you. In addition, the microphone is very good since it makes the voice natural unlike many headphones.

The USB cable is 2m in length, which may require the purchase of an extension cord in some cases. And when it comes to insulation from outside noise, it will now be difficult to do better.

6. Logitech G430 Headset

Logitech G430 Headset

The Logitech 981-000537 G430 headset has all the advantages of a device that meets user expectations. It has been designed with easily manageable accessories that allow them to put themselves at ease when listening or talking. It can also be connected to a computer, a PS5, an Xbox or a Switch.

Above all, we should not forget its specific character for gaming, as well as the other color options at hand blue and black.

7. HyperX Cloud Flight – Wireless Gaming Headset

HyperX Cloud Flight - Wireless Gaming Headset

Longer battery life, superior sound and microphone, More comfortable than the PlayStation Gold, this headset offers better sound and longer battery life, but it lacks Gold’s seamless integration with the PS5.

If you are looking for a wireless headset with better battery life, better sound and a much clearer microphone, this is the HyperX Cloud Flight. you. If it doesn’t work as well with the PS5 as the Sony Gold, by not showing, for example, the battery level on the screen, and by not offering custom EQ profiles, it will play back the sound. in more detail and provides better comfort. which largely compensates for these shortcomings.

Everything we have written about the comfort, sound and structural quality of the Cloud Flight closed-back over-ear headphones, and that we mention in our review of gaming headsets , remains valid here. It is more comfortable in the long run than Gold, regardless of the size of your head.

Its audio reproduction is almost as clear and detailed as that of the Cloud Alpha. The Cloud Flight pads are larger and thicker than the Gold ones and have settings designed for larger heads. The Flight does not have Virtual Surround sound, unlike the Gold, but we found the audio spectrum to be wide enough that this was not a lack and preferred to play in stereo.

The microphone must imperatively be placed near the mouth, but it is more powerful than that of Gold and restores the voice more clearly. Where Gold gives the impression that you are screaming from the bottom of a well, with Cloud Flight it only looks like you have a tiny bit of a cold, which is definitely an improvement.

The Cloud Flight doesn’t feel as strong as the Cloud Alpha but it is definitely more rugged than the Gold. If we would hesitate to pack the Gold in a backpack for an expedition, the question does not arise for a second for the Flight.

It’s mostly made of plastic but it survived a year of testing without a hitch. If we are not crazy about the settings on the earpiece, they are however better than those of the Gold. It’s easier to mute the mic as all you need to do is press the earpiece, and we’ve never had a problem finding the volume dial.

The HyperX Cloud Flight uses the same kind of key as the Gold and therefore puts you in the same situation by occupying one of the console’s USB ports. Compared to the Gold, the Cloud Flight suffers from a few quirks on PS5.

When you turn off the Gold, the PS5 automatically switches the audio to the TV, while with the Cloud Flight you have to unplug the USB key to obtain this result. There is also no way to activate the mic sound level gauge, check the battery level, change the chat volume or access the EQ settings for each game, unlike this. offered by Gold.

The HyperX Cloud Flight headset has a battery life of around thirty hours when the LEDs are off, more than four times that of the Gold. However, you have to turn off the LEDs manually every time you turn it on by pressing the on-off button twice. It’s not really a deal breaker, but it would have been nice if it had remembered our default setting.

8. PlayStation Gold Wireless Headset

PlayStation Gold Wireless Headset

If you prefer wireless, these wireless headphones are designed to work with the PS5, which displays its battery level on screen, as well as access to the audio equalizer and Sony’s Virtual Surround menu.

If you want to get rid of the cable that connects the controller to the headset, or you are looking for a headset compatible with PlayStation VR, go for the Gold wireless headset from Playstation.

Its comfort is almost unanimous, it offers a balanced sound and is in the same price range as the Cloud Alpha. The Gold also offers remarkable compatibility with the PS5 – of all the ones we tested, only Sony headsets have on-screen indications to control the battery level and the microphone mute position.

This is the best of the two PlayStation wireless headsets made by Sony; they are the only ones that work with the Sony EQ application and automatically switch the audio output to the TV when the headphones turn off. As with Apple AirPods, the perfect integration compensates for the perfectible sound quality. However, his microphone is really bad.

The Gold does not reach the absolute comfort level of the Cloud Alpha but it is still more comfortable than other wireless headsets in this price range. Its hoop is quite tight, which can be a bit unpleasant if you have a big head. The same if you wear glasses: the headphones are not flexible enough and tend to pinch at the temples of the less thin frames.

The ear cushions aren’t as thick as the Cloud Alpha’s, and if your ears stick out they might touch the headband, which can be uncomfortable. The sound insulation is sufficient for playing, but it won’t prevent you from hearing the noises around you in the room.

The helmet is adjusted by moving the earphones along the headband, an unusual solution, as most helmets have a telescopic mount.It did not seem to us to be a problem of comfort, but on the practical side, we are not convinced. When the headphones are in the up position, they hide the R and L (right and left) indications, making it difficult to know in which position to place the headphones.

If you have the right size of head and ears, you will be able to use the Gold very comfortably for hours. Also, it fits very well with a PSVR virtual reality headset.you will be able to use the Gold very comfortably for hours. It fits very well with a PSVR virtual reality headset. You will be able to use the Gold very comfortably for hours. Also, it fits very well with a PSVR virtual reality headset.

Without offering an audio spectrum of the same magnitude as the Cloud Alpha, the Gold offers balanced sound. In standard stereo mode, we like its lower bass than most gaming headsets. We’ve especially noticed this in musical games like Tetris Effect , but if you prefer more bass, it’s always possible to set it up in the PS5’s EQ settings.

The Gold handles midrange and treble very well, without the sound effects overlapping each other in very hectic action games like Doom or Battlefield . It seemed to us that the sound of the Gold was not as detailed as that of the Cloud Alpha or the Cloud Flight, but Sony was able to balance its headphones well for gaming.

9. HyperX Cloud Alpha – Gaming Headset For PS5

HyperX Cloud Alpha - Gaming Headset

The best headset for PS5. Comfortable for prolonged use, these headphones offer the best sound quality of any model tested and appear rugged enough to last a long time.

The HyperX Cloud Alpha is one of the most comfortable headsets on the market, and it’s one of the few models to offer balanced sound on both PC and PS5. The detachable 4ft (4ft) cable is perfect for the PS5, and the mic delivers sound clear enough to talk to other gamers, even if it makes the voice a bit nasal.

The Cloud Alpha was already our favorite headset for gaming due to its comfortable ear cushions, wide headband and light weight. It also offers excellent sound, rich and dynamic, accentuated by an audio spectrum that allows the effects of sound to be enhanced without the need for a surround device.

Even when it goes through the DualShock, the Alpha’s sound remains crisp, while falling short of the power some gamers expect. The Alpha gave the most balanced sound of any wired headset we tested on PS5, including the HyperX Cloud II , Sennheiser GSP 300, and Corsair HS50 .

The microphone of the Cloud Alpha is satisfactory. Voices sound a bit nasal, which is a common problem with gaming headsets, but they are much clearer than with PlayStation Gold which makes them sound distant and bodyless.

The Cloud Alpha’s microphone is removable; you can easily put it aside if you don’t use it often. On PC, we’ve found headsets with clearer-sounding mics, like Sennheiser’s GSP 300, but it’s not as comfortable as the Alpha for those of us with larger-than-average heads. . In addition, its audio rendering is poorer on PS5.

The Cloud Alpha is much stronger and better designed than virtually any other headset under $ 150, including the PlayStation Gold or the HyperX Cloud Flight. You can drop it on the ground or throw it roughly in your bag, it won’t break easily. The PlayStation Gold looks really shaky next to it.

The Cloud Alpha features a 1.20m braided cable with a 3.5mm jack. It’s short enough that it won’t get tangled when plugged into the PlayStation controller, but long enough to let you move your arms comfortably. The volume and mute controls are arranged on the cable, where they are easily accessible. This cable is removable and therefore replaceable in case it gets damaged – HyperX sells additional cables with mute and volume control for 10 euros.

10. EasySMX Gaming Headset

EasySMX Gaming Headset

For those who wish to enjoy better sound on their digital devices, EasySMX PS5 gaming headset can be combined with both a Playstation 5 and a computer with recent operating systems. The headset can be connected with both tablets and smartphones via a USB cable over 2 m long.

The EasySMX headset is presented with a microphone to easily pick up the voice of the player. It comes with an adapter having a dimension of 3.5mm and a flexible user guide in ABS mode.

If you want to have a headset compatible with various devices, choose EasySMX Micro Headset PS5 Gaming.

11. Thermaltake Isurus Pro V2 Earbuds

Thermaltake Isurus Pro V2 Earbuds

The very idea of a dedicated pair of gaming headphones conjures a very specific mental image. A set of cans that are aggressively styled, sometimes oddly clunky, and more often than not blessed/cursed that blinking RGB lighting. They might feature gaudy colored plastic highlights, or be stripped back to look like a piece of real-world military kit. Thermaltake’s new Isurus ProV2s is none of those things.

That’s because while gaming is the focus of the Pro V2s, it’s gaming on the go that they’re all about. In fact, there’s only a couple of design and ease-of-use hardware choices that separate the V2s from your average pair of in-ear headphones – but those choices do make an impact, and make a pretty good case for picking up a pair if you’re looking for something a little more discrete and versatile than traditional gaming cans.

The V2s can be worn with or without the included, detachable, metal headband. It’s slim and light enough that you barely notice it, but it does offer a degree of security, keeping the earbuds firmly stuck in your ears. The buds come with three pairs of rubber ear tips so you can find the right fit, and it’s definitely worth experimenting to find the right ones for you, otherwise both sound quality and – possibly more importantly – comfort will suffer. As always with such intimate items as earbuds, your mileage will vary, and find a truly comfortable fit.

That sense of adaptability goes even further, thanks to a dual 3.5-mm three-pole (TRS) splitter cable, which allows the Pro V2’s to be hooked up to pretty much any kind of gaming platform. If you’re looking for a set of in-ear headphones that are as at home on your PC or Switch, and light enough to double to tackle music playback from your smartphone, you’re in luck.

That said, there are some compromises to get everything into a neat package, and some curious design decisions that get in the way. The V2’s mic, for instance, isn’t attached to the inline remote, but rather is built into the left earpiece, which leaves the mic rather further away from your mouth. This is less of an issue on mobile devices, but you’ll really notice it if you’re on a PC.

For the price, though, the audio output of the V2s is pretty solid. From speech to gunfire, everything sounds good in the mid-range, and you can even pick up some subtle environmental noises. The Isurus Pro V2 earphones are a serious contender if you’re a gamer of eclectic tastes, but less so if you’re more dedicated to just one or two platforms.

Well-priced and versatile, by being a jack of all trades, Thermaltake’s Isurus Pro V2 earbuds tend to lack mastery. But if you’re looking for a single audio solution across as many gaming platforms as possible, they’re hard to look past.

PS5 Headset Buying Tips

Play collaboratively

If people are having difficulty hearing you through your PS5 headset, try adjusting the audio level function from the “Audio devices” menu. Increasing the input level of your microphone may resolve this issue.

Play Safe

Please note that listening to audio at high volume for long periods of time may damage your hearing. Set your PS5 headset’s volume too low as you start your game, and gradually increase the volume to comfortable levels as you play. Nothing is more irritating than having your eardrums explode as soon as you start a new game!

Remember to charge the battery

If you prefer to play with a wireless PS5 headset, always have the instinct to put it back on its charger between gaming sessions. It’s never fun to have a dead battery halfway through! .

Treat them with care

Some headphones are known to be more fragile than others, but you also need to know how to take care of them: avoid throwing your headphones on the ground when you lose a game, no headphones will come out unscathed.

Use a helmet holder

Place your helmet on a stand to avoid dropping it or stepping on it.

What types of PS5 headsets to buy?

There are several types of gaming headsets on the market. However, some are listed as PS5 headsets based on their compatibility and connectivity with the PS5. So we have;

  • The wired PS5 headset with audio output jack;
  • Wired PS5 headset with USB output;
  • The wireless PS5 headset with Bluetooth.

The PS5 headset can therefore be connected to the jack of the Playstation 5 controller, just as much as through the USB ports of the console. As for Bluetooth, version 4.0 is the one required for it to work on the console. Likewise, the headset must use the HSP protocol otherwise it will not work.

How to choose your PS5 headset?

As we have just pointed out, one of the important criteria in choosing your PS5 headset is the compatibility with your console, especially when it comes to the Bluetooth function. When buying your helmet, you should therefore take into account:

  • The type of connection
  • The sound quality
  • Comfort and design – you will have the choice between closed helmets, open helmets and semi-open helmets
  • The quality of the microphone;
  • The controls of your helmet;
  • Technical characteristics such as sensitivity or the frequency that the headphones can cover.
  • The price.

Why buy a special PS5 headset?

The main advantage of the PS5 headset is that it is suitable for the PlayStation console. It therefore offers you the best gaming experience. Among the other advantages, you have:

  • The fairly light weight despite the volume of the headset;
  • The comfort of the pads during prolonged use;
  • Freedom of movement for cordless models;
  • The sound quality that allows you to capture all the details of the game;
  • The ergonomics which allows a good fixation at the level of the ears.
