Best RTX 3070 Graphics Cards (Nvidia, Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, EVGA, PNY, Zotac)

Here is the perfect comparison of the best RTX 3070 graphics cards Nvidia, Asus, Gigabyte, MsI, EVGA, PNY, Zotac. The cheapest RTX 3070 graphic card Aftermarket Cards are presented by Nvidia. Not long ago, Nvidia unveiled at a conference its brand new RTX graphics cards based on the new Ampere architecture.

The announcement surprised many people, and for good reason the manufacturer offers us on this generation models that are more efficient and much cheaper than those of the previous one.

Even if Nvidia only unveiled the so-called “Founder” versions of the RTX 3070, RTX 3080 and RTX 3090, many manufacturers immediately unveiled their “custom” versions of the same card.

The RTX 3070 offers better performance than an RTX 2080 Ti, all for a price of $520 in its founder version. The quality / price ratio of this model is therefore very very interesting, when we know that the 2080Ti is difficult to find below the new $1000 dollars.

This 3070 embeds 8GB of VRAM in GDDR6X as well as 5888 CUDA cores. Its TDP is 220W, which may seem a bit high at first glance. It is also PCI Express 4.0 compatible, provided your RTX 3070 motherboard is too.

1. Asus ROG Strix RTX 3070 (Best 3070 Graphics Card)

Asus ROG Strix RTX 3070

For many years, Asus has been offering high-end versions of Nvidia graphics cards through its “ROG” brand. This new generation is no exception to the rule, since the company has decided to continue by offering a 3070 to its sauce, under the name of “RTX 3070 ROG Strix”.

This one offers a rather basic and “boilerplate” design. There are 3 fans, ensuring optimal cooling against the consequent TDP of the GPU. These fans are RGB, and you can thus put them in the colors of the rest of your configuration, in order to have a more harmonious whole.

At the rear, the manufacturer has opted for a rather sober backplate, on which we will find the ROG logo. The latter is black, and adapts perfectly to the design of the card. In addition, it can improve heat dissipation during use.

From a software point of view, this 3070 is also interesting because it has two operating modes, configurable via the BIOS of your gaming motherboard. The first allows the fans on the card to be used to their full potential, and thus to have the lowest possible temperatures. The second allows the fans to run a little slower, but thus to have totally zero noise pollution. We will therefore tend to use the first for games, and the second for office automation.

Be careful, the power requirements of this 3070 are quite substantial. Indeed, this one needs 3 connectors and 8 pins to be supplied. The manufacturer also recommends having a power supply of at least 750W, or even more depending on the rest of your components. Obviously, the higher the certification of your food, the better.

2. EVGA XC3 RTX 3070 (Cheap RTX 3070 Graphics Card)

The second card in our comparison comes from the manufacturer EVGA. This one was until now known to offer through its XC range cards more affordable than the average, silent and well cooled. Unlike the other custom versions of EVGA (especially the Kigpin), the cooling is here exclusively provided by fans, of which there are 3, which therefore justifies the entry-level pricing of the card. Power is supplied by two 8-pin PCI Express connectors. It is recommended to have a power supply of at least 650W or 750W to be able to power the GPU properly.

Compared to the other models, the appearance here is a little more classic. This GPU is devoid of RGB, and the fans are only black with just the manufacturer’s logo in the center of each. Some will therefore appreciate this very simplistic design, while others will prefer to turn to models with a slightly more “gamer” aspect.

EVGA offers the possibility of adjusting the software part of the card via the Precision X1 software. This can for example make it possible to overclock the frequencies of the card or the speed of rotation of the various fans individually. For the overclock, we do not recommend that you resort to this practice if you are not a seasoned user, because improper handling could damage the card. Also note that the software includes a benchmark function allowing you to test the real performance of your brand new RTX 3070.

3. PNY XLR8 RTX 3070 (Good Quality RTX 3070 Graphics Card)

The manufacturer PNY did not wait long to launch in turn on the market for new RTX from Nvidia. With his XLR8 model, he wants to offer a product that combines design and efficiency. The appearance is embellished by the presence of an RGB fan in the center of the card, customizable via the Velocity X tool. This tool also allows you to overclock the card without any difficulty, or to check the temperatures of the card. GPU.

Besides the RGB fans, the design is quite successful. There is a kind of metal frame on the upper part and the lower part of the facade, giving a very nice appearance to the card. PNY has also chosen to affix its logo in the center of each fan. The logo is however as it is in reality, and does not fit very well with the “futuristic” design of the card. We would therefore have liked a little more work at this level, such as for example that this one is RGB.

Regarding the connectivity, no big news, we find at the back of this 3070 a total of 4 video outputs (3 HDMI 2.1 outputs and a Displayport 1.4 output). You can therefore connect up to 4 screens at most, which should be sufficient for 99% of uses. Power is supplied via 2 PCI-Express 8-pin ports. This custom version from PNY therefore has lower power requirements than the first model we presented, thus avoiding having to buy a new RTX 3070 power supply.

Finally, know that this RTX 3070 from PNY measures a total of 29.4cm in length, 11.2cm in height and finally 5.58cm in thickness. These dimensions will therefore allow you to know if your box is large enough to accommodate the product.

4. Zotac Gaming RTX 3070 (Best Budget RTX 3070 Graphics Card)

Zotac Gaming RTX 3070

For its custom version of the RTX 3070, Zotac opted for a completely different configuration. The manufacturer has in fact chosen to include only 2 cooling fans on the facade. This choice allows to have a more compact card, intended for boxes smaller than the average. However, this lack of a third fan does not mean less efficient cooling, since the new 11-blade fans used by the manufacturer are more efficient than those of the previous generation.

Besides that, the appearance is rather classic and reminds us of what MSI offers with its “Gaming X” GPUs. We thus find fans surrounded by a kind of entirely black structure. The fans are also black, and we will regret the absence of RGB at the level of these. At the rear, Zotac has chosen a metal backplate, thus improving the overall strength of the product as well as heat dissipation. The logo is affixed here on the edge, right next to the mention “Geforce RTX” which can be found on all the cards in the range.this card is also compatible with RTX 2060 Graphics Card.

The software part is provided by the “Zotac Gaming FireStorm” application, which you can download directly from the brand’s website. This software will allow you in particular to manage the speed of rotation of the fans, in order to make them function in an optimal way according to your needs.

5. MSI Gaming X Trio RTX 3070 (High Quality 3070 Graphics Card)

MSI Gaming X Trio RTX 3070

Finally, here is an RTX 3070 positioning itself among the most efficient on the market. It’s Gaming X Trio from MSI. As its name suggests, this one has a total of 3 fans on the front, on which we will find a little touch of RGB. With this model, MSI did not want to ignore any point, whether it be design, performance, cooling or silence. This high-end orientation is reflected in the price, since we end up with a custom model among the most expensive on the market.

Power is supplied via 2 8 pin connectors, as on most RTX 3070s. The card is capable of displaying 4320p resolution, i.e. 8K. At the rear, there are once again 3 video displayport outputs as well as an HDMI output.

Be careful, just like the other models with 3 fans, this RTX 3070 is quite imposing, and may not be compatible with certain boxes, especially those in mini-tower format. You must therefore check the card dimensions that your box can accept before proceeding to checkout.

Finally, we will appreciate the MSI Dragon Center software which is used to control the “software” part of the graphics card. This software is intuitive, easy to learn, and will for example a

llow us to overclock the card, or even manage RGB lighting.
